Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before (and after) installing the app.
The basics
What is REFLEX RIVALS?
A reflex game app that measures your reaction time to the millisecond across 14 different mini-games, tracks your statistics and lets you challenge friends and compete in global rankings.
Which platforms is it on?
On Android (Google Play) and on iPhone (iOS) in early access via TestFlight — you can try it right now.
Is it free?
Yes, the app is free and shows no ads.
How long is a game?
A typical game lasts between 30 seconds and a couple of minutes, depending on how long your reflexes survive.
Playing
What can I do with the app?
Play 14 reflex modes, complete the story mode, review your statistics (charts, heat maps, skill radar), relive games with replays, create challenges with friends and compete in the global rankings.
How many game modes are there?
Fourteen different modes plus a story mode. Each measures a different skill: speed, memory, anticipation, motor control, colour perception and more.
What are the Easy, Medium, Hard and God difficulties?
They are the four levels of each mode. The higher the difficulty, the less time you have per round and the more distractors appear, but the more your score is multiplied too.
How is reaction time measured?
The app records the exact instant of each stimulus and each screen tap, with millisecond precision, and computes your reaction time and accuracy for each trial.
What is a replay?
A tap-by-tap playback of your game: the app shows where each dot appeared, when you reacted and how precisely, so you can learn from yourself or see how a rival played.
Competing and friends
How do I challenge a friend?
You create a challenge in the app, pick mode and difficulty, and share it. Everyone plays the exact same sequence of dots and, when done, the app compares times and shows who was fastest.
Why are challenges fair?
Because all participants play the same dots in the same positions. No different maps, no luck factor: scores are directly comparable.
How do the global rankings work?
They gather players from 60+ countries. You can sort by performance, speed or accuracy, filter by country, search by name and jump straight to your position with the "find me" button.
Can I compare my profile with another player?
Yes. The head-to-head comparison puts your average time, accuracy and combo next to any other player’s, side by side.
Account and privacy
Do I need an account to play?
To compete in challenges and rankings, yes: a verified Google or Apple account. This prevents spam accounts and keeps rankings fair. Your data is never used for commercial purposes.
Why is Google or Apple used to sign in?
Only to verify you are a real person and prevent bots and fake accounts that would ruin the rankings. We receive only your account identifier and, where applicable, name and email. Nothing else.
What data does the app store about me?
Your account identifier, your player name and your game results. We don’t sell data or use it for advertising. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I make my profile private?
Yes. You can toggle between public and private profile anytime; private means you don’t appear in the global rankings.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Write to manuel.losro@gmail.com and we will delete your account and all associated data.
How do I contact the team?
