Privacy policy

1. Data controller

Controller: Manuel Losada Rodríguez (trade name Bierzo Labs) · Contact: manuel.losro@gmail.com

This policy applies both to this website (https://reflexrivals.com) and to the REFLEX RIVALS mobile application (Android and iOS).

2. Core principle: your data is not a product

We do not use your data for commercial purposes. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for advertising, and we do not build commercial profiles. Data is processed for one purpose only: letting you use the app with a verified account, preventing spam accounts and keeping rankings and challenges fair.

3. Data we process

3.1 In the app

  • Account data: when you sign in with Google or Apple we receive a user identifier and, depending on the provider, your name and email. With Apple you can hide your real email using its private relay.
  • Game data: game results, reaction times, scores, statistics and the challenges you take part in.
  • Player name and public profile: the alias you choose, visible in rankings and challenges.
  • Anonymous usage statistics: we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in an aggregated and anonymous way, how the app is used (screens and events, retention, device type, language and approximate country). We do not use advertising identifiers, we show no ads, and we cannot identify you personally from this data.

3.2 On this website

  • Anonymous usage data via Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies (see Cookie policy).

Public rankings and your scores. Your profile is private by default: in that state your game data stays on your device and nothing is uploaded to our servers. If you choose to make your profile public to take part in the global rankings and challenges, the app first asks for your consent, and then your alias and your scores are uploaded to our servers and shown publicly in the rankings to other players. You can switch back to private at any time from your profile; we then remove your entries from the public leaderboard.

4. Purpose and legal basis

  • Creating and verifying your account (performance of contract — Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Spam and abuse prevention (legitimate interest — Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Anonymous app usage statistics (legitimate interest — Art. 6.1.f GDPR): to understand in aggregate how the app is used and improve it, without identifying you.
  • Rankings, challenges and sync (performance of contract).
  • Anonymous website statistics (consent — Art. 6.1.a GDPR).

5. Sign-in with Google and Apple

The app uses third-party authentication services. When you use them, the corresponding provider processes your data under its own terms:

Google Sign-In

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • Google Terms of Service

Sign in with Apple

  • Sign in with Apple & Privacy
  • Apple Privacy Policy

From these providers we receive only the account identifier and, where applicable, name and email. We never access your contacts, files or any other account data.

6. Third-party services used by the app

  • Firebase (Google LLC): authentication, cloud database and integrity verification. Privacy and Security in Firebase.
  • Google Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC): anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. In the app, with no advertising identifiers and no ads; on the website, only if you accept cookies (see Cookie policy).

7. Retention

We keep your data for as long as you keep your account. If you delete it, your personal data is erased; scores may be kept anonymised so historical rankings are not distorted.

8. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to manuel.losro@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD: aepd.es).

9. Account deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, write to manuel.losro@gmail.com from the email linked to your account.

10. Changes to this policy

Any relevant change will be published on this page by updating the date in the header.
