New · 14 free games

Now you can train
your brain too

REFLEX RIVALS isn't just about reflexes anymore. It adds 14 mental speed and memory games, a story mode that strings them all together and, best of all, the chance to challenge your whole group in any of them.

Block 1 · 7 games

Mental speed

It's not about tapping fast, it's about deciding fast — and right. Seven games that measure how long your brain takes to pick the right answer… while something tries to throw you off.

BLUE
DISSONANTIA

Word and colour

Interference (Stroop effect)

A colour name appears written in a different ink. Tap the colour the word says, not the one you see. Each level gives you less time and more buttons, and from level 5 they swap places.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and how much the tricky ink slows you down.

EVEN?7YESNO
PARITAS

Even? Over 5?

Flexibility: rule switching

A number appears with a question: is it even? or is it greater than 5? Answer YES or NO. At first the rule stays put; from level 3 it switches without warning.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and what switching rules costs you.

SIGNUM

Arrows

Selective attention

Say which way the middle arrow points while the ones around it try to fool you. Then come all four directions and vertical rows.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and the cost of distractors.

3 × 4 = 13✓✗
AEQUATIO

Quick maths

Mental arithmetic

3 × 4 = 13? Say whether the sum is right. Additions come first, then subtractions and multiplications, with numbers up to 20 and errors of just one or two.

Measures: time per decision and accuracy.

COMPARATIO

Which has more?

Quantity estimation

Two clouds of dots: tap the one with more. The gap keeps shrinking and, from level 3, the bigger dots sit on the side with fewer.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and how much you struggle when the gap is tiny.

R?R
ROTATIO

Mental spin

Mental rotation

A shape and its rotated copy: is it the same, or a mirror image? The angles get trickier level by level, all the way to a full turn.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and the extra time big rotations cost you.

✓——
CUSTOS

Tap or hold

Impulse control

You start with a target: one shape in one colour. Shapes pass by and you can only tap the target; for everything else, hold still. From level 3, decoys show up sharing its shape or colour.

Measures: time per decision, accuracy and false alarms.

Block 2 · 7 games

Memory

Hold it, order it, recall it. Seven ways to put your working memory to the test: sequences, positions, pairs, changes and rhythms that grow level by level.

132
SEQUENTIA

Dot sequence

Spatial memory

Dots light up in order. Repeat them in the same order and the same place. The sequence grows and plays faster every time.

Measures: memory span, accuracy, tap precision and recall speed.

481184
REVERSUS

Digits backwards

Working memory

You see some digits one by one and type them backwards: 4 8 1 → 1 8 4. Each level brings more digits and less time to see them.

Measures: memory span, accuracy and recall speed.

★◆?
LOCUS

What and where

Object and location memory

Symbols flash on a grid for an instant. Then you're asked where each one was. The grid grows from 3×3 to 5×5.

Measures: memory span, accuracy and recall speed.

★◆▲?
CATENA

Pairs

Associative memory

Each symbol goes with a colour. They vanish and you're asked what colour one of them was. From two pairs up to six, with less time to look each round.

Measures: memory span, accuracy and recall speed.

★●◆▲■★●◆▲●⇄
MUTATIO

What changed?

Change detection

A grid of symbols, a blackout, and it comes back with something different: spot it. From level 4, sometimes a symbol doesn't change… it moves.

Measures: memory span, accuracy and recall speed.

KBK2-back✓
ITERATIO

N-back

Working memory on the go

Items appear one after another. Tap when the current one matches the one from N steps back: first 1, then 2 and then 3.

Measures: the N you reach, accuracy, speed and false alarms.

♪
RHYTHMUS

Rhythm

Temporal memory

A series of beats sets a rhythm. Repeat it, tapping in time. You start with 3 beats and go up to 8.

Measures: span, accuracy, rhythm precision and response speed.

How they work

Easy to start, hard to master

All 14 are free, each has its own worldwide ranking and you can play any of them as a challenge. Before every game, a card explains how to play and what it measures.

Three difficulties

Progressive starts at level 1, Normal at 4 and Hard at 7. The app remembers your choice for each game, and in challenges the creator picks it.

Level up as you play

In the decision games you level up every 10 trials; in the memory games, every 2 rounds cleared. You get 3 lives: every mistake or timeout costs one.

Your profile by skill

Each block has its own score from 0 to 100 and a level: Novice, Apprentice, Solid or Master. In MY PROFILE you see it on cards, with a radar chart and insights into how you play.

Story mode

All 14 games, back to back

It's the big button on the menu. Pick a difficulty, tick the games you want (all of them by default) and the app chains them in random order, with lives that carry across the whole run.

QUICK

Endless bursts

Each game lasts just a few taps and jumps to the next without warning. Perfect for five spare minutes.

  • 5 trials or 2 rounds per game
  • Finish the list and go again: level +1 and an extra life (max 5)
  • It ends when you run out of lives
WITH PROGRESS

Stages with a finish line

One stage per game, with a start and an end. This time there's a run to complete.

  • Clear a stage by completing 3 levels
  • 3 lives for the whole run; a perfect stage earns another (max 5)
  • Every 2 stages cleared, the starting level goes up

Your runs are saved in MY RECORDS, with their own stats. They don't count towards the ranking or your profile: here you play to beat yourself.

The most fun part of the app

Group challenges: the same old rivalry, now with data

Create a group with your friends, your family or your office mates and send everyone a challenge with a single tap. Each person plays the same game on their own phone, whenever suits them, and the app ranks the results, compares skills and keeps score of who's on top.

The same game for everyone

Every challenge carries a seed: everyone gets exactly the same sequence, in the same order. No one gets lucky; whoever plays best wins.

28 games to challenge each other

The 14 reflex games plus the 14 new mental speed and memory ones. Each one rewards something different, so the same person doesn't win the league every time.

A summary that fuels the rivalry

The group summary pulls every challenge together and lines you up side by side by skill: the fastest, the most accurate, the one who remembers everything.

An example

A week in “The Old Crew”

Five friends, one group and a question that's been hanging for years: who has the quickest mind? Here's what a week of challenges looks like.

Monday · 9:30 pm

Emma sends the challenge

She picks Dissonantia on Normal and taps “challenge the group”. No need to pick names: the challenge reaches all four at once, with a notification on their phones.

Monday night

Everyone plays wherever they are

Jake on the sofa, Lucy on the bus. Doesn't matter: the game is identical for everyone, with the same words, the same inks and the same order.

Tuesday · 8:10 am

The data settles the argument

The challenge table ranks by points and adds bars for each metric: who decides fastest, who's most accurate and how far each person got.

Wednesday

A rematch on different ground

Jake hits back with Reversus, a memory game, on Hard. Lucy, who hadn't stood out on speed, wins by a mile.

Sunday

The group summary

The app pulls together all the week's challenges: rankings by skill, a comparison radar and bars for each metric. Now you know who's the quick one, who's the memory whiz… and who needs to practise.
